Debra Tennen, M.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, has a private practice in Agoura Hills and is affiliated with the West Hills Regional Medical Center, and the Motion Picture Hospital.

A refractive surgery specialist, she has been performing refractive surgery since 1993. In the mid 1990’s Dr. Tennen was the Medical Director of the UCLA Laser Refractive Centers in Agoura Hills, and Costa Mesa. In 1997, she opened her current office in Agoura Hills. Dr. Tennen lectures on the topic of refractive surgery, especially LASIK and Photorefractive Keratectomy, and is the author of many research articles on refractive surgery. In total, Dr. Tennen has performed thousands of laser vision correction procedures.

Dr. Tennen received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine and a medical degree with distinction from New York Medical College. She completed an ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in refractive surgery, cornea and external disease at the University of California, Irvine's Beckman Laser Institute, where she was awarded the Resident's Teaching Award from the Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Tennen, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
